Jane Burnard

Jane Burnard, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, cousin, aunt and friend, 69, of Knappa, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2016.

She was born Feb. 24, 1947, to Don and Nellie (Yeager) Cole. She attended Seaside schools and graduated from Seaside High School in 1965.

Jane was married to Lee Burnard for 51 years. She worked at Knappa Schools for more than 20 years. She touched many lives, especially those of her family. She was fiercely loyal, and believed in family over everything else.

Jane is survived by her husband, Lee Burnard of Knappa; her children, Angel Marx (Dan) of Smyrna, Georgia, Lee Burnard Jr. (Sherry) and Jason Burnard of Knappa, and Don Burnard of Clatskanie; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; her sister, Phyllis Russellman (Bill); her brother, Jim Cole (Kathy); and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held Thursday, Dec. 1, 2016, at 1 p.m., at Caldwell’s Luce-Layton Mortuary, 1165 Franklin Ave., Astoria.
