Beverly Michelle “Micki” Williams Brawand, age 55, of Astoria, passed away Aug. 13th, 2015 in Lebanon, Ore., after battling cancer. Micki was born Jan. 19, 1960, in Roseburg, Ore., to Beverly Jean and Charles Eugene Williams. The family moved to Astoria, where she attended school, in April of 1962. She married Danny Kelley in October 1977, and they were blessed with a daughter, Jill Renee, in 1979. They later divorced. In July 1988 she married Roger Brawand. After their divorce, she moved to Toledo, Ohio, and went to work for the Toledo Zoo. It was here she developed her love for the animals, especially the gorillas. Micki moved back to Portland in 2009, working for people who became special friends, doing yard work. She moved back to Astoria last September to help care for her dad, who passed away in May. Micki was known for her willingness to help others and her generous spirit. She is survived by her daughter, Jill Kelly (Jason); granddaughter, Marley; her mother, Jean Hageman; sister, Tami Hageman; brothers, Joey (Mary Jo) Williams, David (Jackie) Williams, Ronny (Kim) Williams, and Kenny (Rhonda) Hageman; uncles, Bobby (Susan) and Gene Hageman; aunts, Beverly and Dottie Hageman; many cousins, nieces, and nephews; and special friends, Jerry Bartoldus, Mrs. Pope, Dr. Beatly, Sue, and many more. She was preceded in death by her sister, Tami Williams; fathers, Charles Williams and Kenneth Hageman; grandfather, Frank Hensley; and uncles, Gary and Wayne Hageman and Roger. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, Sept. 5, 2015, from 1 to 3 p.m. at 92607 Fern Hill Road, Astoria, OR 97103.
