Nancy Jewel Gaines, 63, passed away peacefully May 14, 2015, at her home in Seaside, Ore., with her close friends and family present.
She was born Feb. 21, 1952, in San Diego, Calif., to Harold Isbell and Barbara Sigler Isbell. Nancy grew up in El Cajon, Calif. She moved from California to Longview, Wash., in the early 1980s, and eventually to Seaside, Ore.

Survivors include her son, Chuck Freeman Gaines; a grandson, Eaine Gaines; a sister, Callie Ann Anderson; a brother, James Garland Isbell; her lifelong companion, Bob E. Gaines; her best friend, Shirley LaTourette; five nieces, Michelle, Monica, and Mikki Anderson, Susan Koester and Deanne Isbell; two nephews, Jay Hoffman and Daniel Isbell; seven great-nieces, Victoria Anderson-Thead, Onika and Natasha Anderson, Alyson and Brianne Koester, and Adrianna and Audrey Isbell; and three great-nephews, Cody and Kyle Koester and Nicholas Anderson-Miller.
