Anne S. Ramvick, 91, of Knappa, died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013, in Astoria.
She was born Oct. 29, 1921, in Cheney, Wash.
Raised in Cheney and Walla Walla, Wash., she graduated from Walla Walla High School, and attended Whitman College.
She married Henry “Hank” Ramvick. They later divorced.
Mrs. Ramvick starting working at Fred Meyer in Portland, and was transferred to the Fred Meyer in Astoria. She worked as a pharmacy assistant at St. Mary’s Hospital for several years, then worked as a resident adviser at Tongue Point Job Corps for a few years.
She was a member of St. Mary, Star of the Sea Catholic Church and Altar Society, and the PTA.
Family members said her hobbies included ceramics and gardening. She loved animals, and was a very lucky person, entering many contests and winning several times.
She is survived by two sons, Brian Ramvick of Knappa and Monte Ramvick and his significant other, Maryanne Champagne, of Brownsmead; 12 grandchildren, Jemma Funk of Eugene, Heather Ritchie and her husband, Clark, and Toni Ramvick, all of Portland, Craig Ramvick Jr. of Brownsmead, Shawn Wall and her husband, Ed, of Seattle, Barbara Stultz and her husband, George, of South Carolina, Christy Carr and her husband, Aaron, of Gresham, Jeremy Champagne, Chris Champagne and his wife, Alicia, Tami Jones and her husband, Terry, and Donny Rubus and his wife, Cynthanie, all of Knappa, and Barry Rubus of Astoria; 25 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, Cherry Ann Ramvick and Malia Newton; and a son, Craig Ramvick.
A memorial will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 25, at St. Mary, Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 1465 Grand Ave. A reception will follow at the church.
