Kathleen Marie "Kathy" Link

Kathleen Marie "Kathy" Link, 67, of Astoria, died Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2011, in Astoria.

She was born March 22, 1944, in Astoria, to Robert Emmett and Pearl Marie (Day) Biddle.

In 1962, she graduated from Astoria High School, and shortly afterward moved to Seattle and attended Bible college. She moved to Hawaii for a short time, but missing her family, she returned to Oregon.

She married Fred Oltmanns. They later divorced.

Ms. Link's love of adventure first took her to Nevada, and when her brother Dan Biddle and his family moved to Idaho, she followed. In Nampa, Idaho, the Link family opened a restaurant. In the late 1980s, she moved with her children to the Portland area. When her children grew up, she moved back to Astoria, where her mother lived.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, John and Frankie Oltmanns of Portland; two daughters and a son-in-law, Sonja and Scott Ferestad of Oregon City and Alicia Farber of Portland; four brothers and two sisters-in-law, Ron Biddle of Arizona, Dan and Cindy Biddle of Keizer, Bob Biddle of Richland, Wash., and Ted and Cindy Biddle of Pendleton; four grandchildren, Justin Huennekens of Deer Island, JennaLea Ferestad of Oregon City and Megan and Tyler Farber of Portland; and a great-grandson, Cody Huennekens of Deer Island.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 6, at Caldwell's Luce-Layton Mortuary, 1165 Franklin Ave.

A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 6, at the Assembly of God Church, 1775 Seventh Ave.

A graveside service will follow at Ocean View Cemetery in Warrenton. A reception will follow at the Assembly of God Church.
