Corrine Hulga Hedeen, 82, of Astoria, died Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2011, in Astoria.
She was born April 12, 1928, in Astoria, to Robert Elton and Evi E. Basel.
Raised in Alderbrook, she attended Fernhill Grade School.
In 1946, she graduated from Astoria High School.
In 1948, she married Norman Hugo Hedeen. He preceded her in death in 1974.
Mrs. Hedeen was a longtime active member of Beta Sigma Phi.
She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Gregory and Kim Hedeen of Gresham and Mark and Ronda Hedeen and Craig and Rosa Hedeen, all of Astoria; two sisters, Roberta Riutta and Carol Wolfgram and her husband, Gordon, all of Astoria; three grandsons, Chad Hedeen of Monmouth, Jake Hedeen of Indianapolis and Victor Hedeen of Astoria; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Audrey Walman.
A memorial will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 5, at Peace Lutheran Church, 565 12th St.
